Manfred Knof

Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors, Commerzbank, Frankfurt am Main

Dr Manfred Knof, born on 19 August 1965, was a scholarship holder of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for both law studies and PhD (1994) at the University of Cologne. He received a Master of Business Administrations from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business in 1995 and completed the Advanced Management Program 163 at Harvard Business School in 2002.

Dr Knof held different positions at Allianz Group including Dresdner Bank from 1996 until 2017. Having served as CEO of Allianz Germany from 2015 until 2017, Dr Knof joined Deutsche Bank in 2019, where he was responsible for the Private Bank Germany.

He joined Commerzbank in January 2021 as Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors.

Dr Knof is married and has two sons.
